Finding Peace, Le Ly Hayslip, "When Heaven And Earth Changed Places"-TOPIC

Le Ly's mother, Mama Du, tells Le Ly what she has learned from her daughter. The TOPIC that Mama Du is trying to teach Le Ly is she needs to find peace in what she has. Mama Du says, "'See what you've taught me, Bay Ly? That you're never too old to forgive people; that it's never too late to patch the dike and save a little more of whatever life's left you'"(337). These words that Mama Du spoke are meaningful; you need to find peace and happiness in your life now. Be present in life it is never to late for you to do something with your life. Life might be short but it does not mean you do not have time to forgive, love, and live. When you are still living you need to have peace with yourself, so if that means forgiving your enemy than do it. You will not have a happy life unless you find peace within your life.
