Le Ly ANECDOTES the time she is reunited with her family. She us very happy to see them because she was away from them for so long. She writes, "Inside, my mother and Hai greet us and we sit down to Tinh's long-delayed supper of mi quang, chop suey, rice soup, spiced beef, boned chicken, and slivered pork. We have been gabbing for half an hour about our tour of the countryside. . ."(312). Le Ly is so happy to meet up with her mother again.They talk about her journey of getting to Vietnam and they just enjoy the time they have with each other now. Le Ly takes notes of this meeting with her mother. Family is the most important thing in life I believe you need to cherish the time you have with your family members. Le Ly does just that in this chapter. It is good to reunite with your family members and to enjoy the time you have with them. Life is short so try to live life to the fullest; sharing time with family members is one way to achieve this goal.
